Just a week after launching their new Cubao-Tagum City route on March 7, Davao Metro Shuttle (DMS) announced an increase of trip frequency between Metro Manila and Southern Mindanao.
Since introducing their PITX-Davao City route in June 2022, DMS has steadily expanded its services to enhance connectivity and accommodate growing passenger demand. The addition of the Cubao-Tagum route was a strategic move to strengthen their presence on the Luzon-Visayas-Mindanao (LuzViMinda) route. The increased trip frequency further emphasizes their commitment to improving travel options and efficiency for passengers on this corridor.

Trip Schedules and Bus Details
Previously operating two daily trips each from PITX-Davao City and Cubao-Tagum City, DMS will now offer 3-4 trips per day on both routes, with the fourth trip subject to bus availability.

While DMS has not confirmed whether these additional trips will involve new or existing buses, the company currently deploys Volvo B8R units on the PITX-Davao City route and Golden Dragon Triumph buses for the Cubao-Tagum route.

Strengthening Regional Transport Services
The introduction of the Cubao-Tagum City route and the increased frequency of trips highlight DMS’s efforts to expand transportation options for travelers navigating the LuzViMinda corridor. This vital route, pioneered by Philtranco Service Enterprises Inc. (PSEI) in 1986, continues to serve as a crucial link connecting Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
With these developments, Davao Metro Shuttle aims to better meet passenger demand and improve travel accessibility between Metro Manila and Southern Mindanao.
