Heads up, sleepyheads! A bus company in North Luzon is set to join the growing list of operators utilizing sleeper buses in the Philippines! The company, which currently operates routes between Metro Manila and North Luzon, is expected to deploy its sleeper units this 2025.
Sleeper buses have become a staple for long-haul travel between Manila and several provinces in Luzon, offering passengers a more comfortable journey compared to buses with standard seating configurations. Thanks to GV Florida Transport back in 2008, traveling while being “almost” lie-flat became possible. And as more bus companies shift to premium offerings, sleeper buses are quickly becoming the go-to choice for overnight travel.
According to reliable sources, the bus operator has been eyeing this move for quite some time now. They’ve reportedly been in talks with various manufacturers and distributors, both local and abroad, in search of the ideal sleeper bus model and brand to add to their fleet.
As of April 2025, the sleeper units have already been assembled and are now just awaiting proper documentation from local authorities before being handed over to the operator for deployment.

Current Operators of Sleeper Buses in the Philippines
- GV Florida (2008): 26 units running, serving Manila to Cagayan Valley and Ilocos routes.
- Bicol Isarog TSI (2010): 4 units running, serving Camarines Sur and Albay.
- Victory Liner (2023): 15 units running, serving Baguio City, Kalinga Province, and Cagayan Valley.
- Raymond Transportation (2024): 5 units running, serving Camarines Sur, Albay and Sorsogon Province.
Currently, there are four operators of sleeper buses in the Philippines—two based in the South and two in the North (soon to be three). You can even ride a sleeper bus from Cubao to Baguio City nowadays, and that happens to be the shortest sleeper bus route in the country at the moment, lasting just about 5 hours.
With the market for more comfortable land travel expanding, the only question now is: who will be the next to join the sleeper bus trend?
